He's gonna die, he's gonna die, and it's so not fair because, looking back on it, he's made a lot of decisions that ought to have gotten him killed.

"I love you," Ray says during the commercial break, halfway through the Leafs game he knows Fraser has been looking forward to for weeks. There's even bark tea and a pineapple-free pizza. It might not be the stuff of great romance, but Ray figures all this stuff is as close to romance as the Mountie would ever get, so when he guesses the moment's right, he takes a deep breath and just says it.

Basically it means that I’m restricting the list of crossover fandoms to those featuring actors who played the main roles in due South series (PG, CKR, DM). 'Cause, hello, I'm only human.

Frankly, I'm uncomfortable posting this new list when all the other ones haven't been updated for god knows how long... But I figure better now than never, right? :)

ETA: I usually try to read, if I haven't already, most of the stories while list compiling and to leave some feedback to the authors. At least a couple of words, 'cause I think it's kind of rude to read and not to comment if you liked the fic. But this time around I wasn't so good with feedback, for different reasons. Update on me: found new job, starting Monday; haven't read a single due South fic in almost 2 weeks, am busy with the suckage that is family problems; if you posted something that you think fits one of the lists - never fear, I still read f-list and bookmark all the stuff, so I'll add all the new fic to the lists next week (probably), after my monumental catch-up on reading.

ANYWAY.

I'm reorganising "unusual format" list and have several questions for you, guys:

1. Epistolary fic: told through the use of letters, journal entries, e-mails, notes, etc.
A "shopping list" story? Or, for example, Fraser making a list of pros and cons of hooking up with Ray? Would you consider it an epistolary fic?

2. There's a bunch of fic out there told through the use of images: comics, pic!fics, illustration!fic, etc. What collective name would you use for that kind of stories?

3. So far I have: epistolary fic, documentation!fic, that image thing fic, non-chronological fic.
I'm stuck on where to put stories like: various lists, fics in script form, quizzes, "Benton Fraser Operators manual", "Choose Your Own dS Porn Adventure", "Scrabble", "The Fraser Record (Excerpts)", etc.
Any ideas? Some other categories? Or do I just leave everything uncategorised as simply "unusual format"? Help me, oh wise f-list!

Well, I'm back after a week of no LJ and I have stuff to say:

1. Skip=700; 30 pieces bookmarked to read. CRAZY! You people are productive.

2. Paul Gross on The Hour. OMG! Yay! OMG! So smart! OMG! Pretty! OMG!

3. bitchinparty. I graciously forgive you all. Your childish excitement is beneath me. :) *stabbity stab stab I hate you all am full of poisonous envy* *g*

4. I quit my main job!!! Hurray! After 3 years of torture I'm free at last! *throws confetti* I don't have to see those people again EVER in my life!!! YAY! *dances* Um, now I have to find a new job, but I think I'll manage to do it in the next 2 or 3 weeks, so all is well. *dances some more*

5. I started reorganising master lists. The main goal is to make them more searchable. The job is only half done, though. There's gonna be much more tweaking (especially with such large lists as AU) and I haven't even started with some of the lists yet. Anyway, boring and time consuming, but I feel like it has to be done.

6. BLACKADDER is the new love of my life. There's currently a Blackadder rerun on one of the local cable channels, so all I did this week (besides work stuff and reorganising lists) is watch that show (well, re-watch, I first saw it about 10 years ago) and read Blackadder fanfic. I'm sort of obsessed, so expect recs and, possibly, a master list. Blackadder/Darling rocks my socks! Melchett/George is the match made in heaven! Baldrick is my hero! Yay turnips! \o/

A couple of days ago, in an attempt to cut down a bit my lj reading list (I honestly can't read on filter, I tried several times and it doesn't work for me, I just get annoyed), I stopped watching all the ficfind comms (except for the dS ones, they aren't spammy, plus they help me find new stuff for the lists). That's like over 10 comms: SGA, SPN, HP, House, etc. And voila! Suddenly, I got myself a very neat f-list, yay!

However, my euphoria didn't last long. Today I realised that I miss my crack, very much so. So now I have a separate journal for 'ficfind comms' watching purposes only. *facedesks repeatedly*

My love for Buffy/Angel fandom is second only to due South. Both of these fandoms were my first ones, I discovered slash through them. The pairing of my heart in BtVS is Spike/Xander (I just HEART them so much!), but you know me, I'll read anything as long as the writing is good. :)

dS lists I'm NOT working on right now (just some ideas I have): someone (Welsh, Kowalski's mum, Frannie, etc - i.e. some outsider) finds out our boys are sexing each other (how do you shorten this description? it's not exactly "coming out" or "outed" fic...), Dief!fic, car!sex fic, stakeout, marriage/wedding, vacation, Florida!fic.

Any other ideas? Because, you know, I'm always on the lookout (despite what I said above *g*). Tell me what's interesting for you!

- ru_cats_daily - absolutely gorgeous kitty pictures (the comm is russian, but you don't need to know the language to watch it).

- Entitlement? In a sense - great meta on fic titles by painless_j (slightly HP oriented, but overall applies to any fandom).

- Red-Hot and Filthy Library Smut - orgasmic and totally work safe! :)

- Overheard comms can be educational! - that's my personal revelation (I had no idea about this "zee" business 'cause we are taught British English here).

- Stephen Fry breaks arm filming in Brazil and later posts a picture of the break on his blog - my poor darling... *hugs him*

- The Letter, The Lovely S.F., Mein Handy, The Acropolis where the Parthenon is - some of the numerous reasons why Stephen Fry is my biggest celebrity crush.

- one, two, three - Daniel Radcliffe is just too cute for words.
